What is the fastest way to get to the Kofel? Igls is situated at 870m above sea level, at the foot of the Patscherkofel, only seven kilometres from the provincial capital Innsbruck. Arrival with your own car or by train and bus is possible. Coming from the Inntal motorway A12, take the Innsbruck Mitte exit - continue in the direction of Igls - via Vill to the village of Igls - continue in the direction of Patsch to the Patscherkofel cable car valley station.
Coming from the Brenner/Italy A13, take the Patsch motorway exit - continue via Patsch to the Patscherkofelbahn valley station. Patscherkofel cable car.
Line J (IVB buses) runs from Mon to Fri at 10-minute intervals and every 15 minutes on Sat, Sun and public holidays. from Innsbruck directly to the valley station of the Patscherkofelbahn.

Parking
Daily fee: € 6,-
Private parking spaces are available at the valley station of the Patscherkofel cable car. Chargeable daily from 0 - 24 hrs. Guests of the Patscherkofel cable car will be refunded the fee on the day of access when they purchase a mountain railway ticket.
Place the upper section of the parking ticket clearly visible behind the windscreen and the lower section on the car park. The lower section of the parking ticket can be refunded at the cash desk of the Patscherkofel cable car or in the restaurant Das Hausberg.
Free parking ticket
Guests with a valid ticket (season or annual ticket of the Patscherkofel cable car, Freizeitticket Tirol, Snow Card Tirol) can buy a free parking ticket at the parking machine during cable car operating hours.
Press the first button (SKITICKET) on the parking machine, hold your ticket on the orange field and the free parking ticket will be printed. Place the parking ticket clearly visible behind the windscreen.
Outside the cable car operating hours, the car park is subject to a charge all year round. Vehicles may only be parked with a valid parking ticket. In case of non-observance, a daily fee of € 25,- will be charged, which can be paid within 14 days. In case of default, an action for possession or injunction will be action for injunction.
For parking for several days, the 1st day is free, provided a ticket for the Patscherkofelbahn is purchased. A parking fee of € 6 will be charged for each additional day. The parking ticket is available at the Patscherkofelbahn ticket office.
